Harvard Scarf

This scarf is a gift for my boyfriend, and my first completed knitting project. The yarn is Louisa Harding Kashmir DK in Ember and White.  It’s a lovely wool/cashmir/microfiber blend that is cable ply.  I was impressed with the durability of the cable. It was very resistant to snagging, and I hope will make the scarf look nice for a long time.

Since this was such a basic scarf, I knit with basic measurements in mind, 6 inches wide by 8 feet long, instead of following a pattern. In my excitement, I cast on WAY too many stitches.  The final measurements are 12 inches wide by 8 feet long!  Other than the extra width, I am pleased with how the scarf turned out.  I am particularly pleased with the ends, which I finished by crocheting them together.
